Over time, tiles in the bathroom can not take the best look. However, shifting the floor to a new one will cost a pretty penny. But there is a simpler way, which will give a stylish finish and will not leave without money!
What is required
- paint in two colors;
- stencils with your favorite pattern.
Before ordering stencils, measure the tile from edge to edge, without turning on the grout.
Before painting, it is important to sand the tiles using emery paper. Then remove all dust and dirt from the floor. It is better to first vacuum it and then wash it thoroughly.
Glue the entire perimeter of the floor, as well as the plumbing with masking tape, so as not to stain them with paint. Apply two or three coats of primer to paint better lay on the floor. After the primer has dried, paint the floor with a base color of two to three layers.
It is time for stencils. Arrange it exactly along the line of the tile, evenly paint it with a paint of a contrasting color using a roller. It is important that it does not have a lot of paint. It is better to choose flexible stencils. In this case, it will be easier to work with the corners and edges of the room.
For hard-to-reach areas it is better to use an additional stencil, from which the necessary areas are cut off.
As soon as the paint dries, go over it in two or three layers of protective coating. Your new bathroom floor is ready!
